On Monday night, the home of Tony Pampena was featured on ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight," a show that pits some of America's most outlandishly decorated homes in a contest for Christmas supremacy.
SANTA TRADES IN REINDEER FOR SHARKS AT MARITIME AQUARIUM
NORWALK, Conn. — Children hoping to see Santa before the big day have their chance in Norwalk this season. Just don't expect to see any reindeer.
Instead, Santa has traded in his eight flying reindeer for eight gliding sharks and his sleigh for 110,000 gallons of water.
At the Maritime Aquarium, visitors can get a glimpse of the Big Red Man swimming among the Long Island Sound's largest native sharks and even take pictures with him, behind a thick, glass wall of course.

Two Roads Brewing Company celebrate the state's craft beer industry with many of these brewers in Stratford Monday night for the third annual Connecticut Brewers Fest.

Plenty of great things have come out of Connecticut, however, one of the greatest things doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
One way to celebrate was with Election Cake, a sort of cake-bread hybrid. Election Cake rose to prominence in the 1830s in Hartford, Conn., according to materials provided by the Connecticut Historical Society. Colonist were said to enjoy cake during daylong meetings or after completing their service of voting.
COMMUNITY PLATES FUNDRAISER FIGHTS LOCAL HUNGER
WILTON, Conn. — Food insecurity is an issue that threatens communities across the nation. In southwestern Connecticut, it's estimated that more than 101,000 people live food insecure, with nearly 34,000 of them being children.
Community Plates, a local American Hunger Relief organization that saves food that would otherwise be thrown away by local restaurants, grocers, and markets, is hoping to stamp out the crisis of food waste and hunger.
LOVED ONES REMEMBERED AT WESTPORT'S 9/11 CEREMONY
WESTPORT, Conn. — Family members, friends, and residents came together Thursday in Westport to remember victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The victims were honored at Connecticut's official memorial at Sherwood Island State Park, the same area where residents watched the horror unfold across the Long Island Sound in Manhattan 15 years ago. The park also served as a staging area for Connecticut's relief efforts to New York City.
NORWALK OYSTER FESTIVAL RETURNS TO VETERANS PARK
NORWALK, Conn. — Norwalk's Oyster Festival returned to Veterans Park on Sept. 10 and 11, bringing with it live music, carnival rides, and delicious oysters.
The event, hosted by the Norwalk Seaport Association, marks the last big event of the summer, as the festival is traditionally held the weekend after Labor Day.
TWO BOOTS BREAKS INTO STAMFORD WITH FREE PIZZA, LIVE TUNES
STAMFORD, Conn. — Two Boots Pizza of Stamford held its grand opening Tuesday night, serving slices of free pizza to guests and officially introducing itself to Stamford's Harbor Point neighborhood.
Stamford is the company's latest Connecticut venture, after the pizza pioneers ran another location in Bridgeport for eight years until their lease ended.
LOBSTER ROLLS NET GENERATIONS OF CUSTOMERS IN ROWAYTON
NORWALK, Conn. — Hot or cold, the long debated style of the lobster roll in New England will likely be a never-ending war. In Rowayton, that debate may boil over at The Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood, where both styles are offered to customers.
The Restaurant, now in its 20th year of operation, recently received Moffly Media's 2016 Best of Gold Coast award for seafood restaurant.
CRAFT BEER, PIZZA BECKON AT BREWPORT
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — City residents are in for a treat, and a beer or two. Brewport Brewery Co., Bridgeport's new brewery and pizza restaurant, is holding a month-long sneak preview leading up to its grand opening on September 10.
Since Monday August 1, locals have started filling booths and barstools to grab a drink and slice of freshly-made pizza at Bridgeport's latest addition at 225 South Frontage Road, next to Interstate 95.
